Legacies make life better for those who come after you, aside from your own wealth, fame, or recognition. Leaving a legacy is about helping others. Building a legacy that will last beyond your life is purposeful, selfless, and self-full.
Living with that thought in mind breaks the power of selfishness. It ingrains itself in your life. It also keeps you focused on the big picture. Legacy building is “big picture” living. It keeps you focused on the long term and gives you values through which you choose your actions. When you build a life that will give for many years to come, you are living with a daily purpose.
